ChatGPT is releasing an adult model. A girlfriend, a sexting model, whatever you want to call it. And as someone who has worked in the adult industry for over a decade, I will be honest: I am worried for every woman out there making a living with her body, because I am not sure how anyone competes with this. But there is one thing the bot can fake and never actually do, and that is the whole reason I am not panicking.
Why this ends the OnlyFans economy
VHS revolutionized porn. AI is about to do it again, except faster. Picture the offer: a customizable perfect girlfriend, available every second of the day, infinite patience, zero judgment, no rejection, no conflict, no consequences. You can build her, swap her, explore anything you were ever too embarrassed to ask a real woman for. For a lot of men, that is irresistible.
And the economics make it brutal for independent creators. Adult payment processing is punishing, high fees and months-long holdbacks on your own money because of chargebacks, while a company like OpenAI runs on mainstream rails at a fraction of the cost. Cheaper than a porn site, customizable, judgment-free, all in one place. Why would anyone go anywhere else?

How you know it is a bot
Master had the funniest, truest tell for spotting one.

Which points at the real difference. The bot is built to want you, instantly and completely, no matter what. And that is exactly where it falls apart.
It is like being the master of a toaster
Here is the thing everyone misses. Yes, AI is the perfect submissive. It says yes to everything, it never has a headache, it never tells you to pick your socks up off the floor. But it submits to everyone. It does not matter who you are, your money, your class, your character. Press the button and it obeys.

There is no achievement in that. If a machine submits to you the same way it submits to every other man on earth, you have not earned anything, and it says nothing about who you are. The whole worth of submission comes from the fact that it was given by someone who had a choice.
Fake submission versus chosen submission
This is the line that matters, and a commenter named Latex Rope put it perfectly: a real person has choice, and AI does not. When a real person chooses to be with you, an AI is just running code to simulate one.

A real woman has her own baggage, her own loves and dislikes, her own bank account, her own vote. When a woman like that looks at you and decides, consciously, that she will submit to you, that she will get dressed up, seduce you, build a life with you, because she wants to, that is worth infinitely more than a program that would have done it for anyone. The more she is, the more her yes is worth. The bot's yes is free, and things that are free to everyone are worth nothing to anyone.
So how do real women survive
My honest answer is the uncomfortable one, and it is the whole thesis of my book. Women survive this by leaning into the one thing AI cannot do: choosing. By being fully, unapologetically women, feminine, warm, real, and consciously choosing a man instead of fighting him. The women who do that will never be replaced, because no man confuses a toaster for a wife. The women who refuse, who offer men nothing but conflict and complaint, are the ones who lose to a machine that offers warmth on demand.
AI can imitate submission perfectly. It can never choose you. And being chosen, by someone who could have walked away, is the one thing that has always made it real.
