I Disappeared for a Year. Here Is What I Was Really Doing
A lot of you have followed me for almost eleven years. You watched the daily vlogs, the Will It Fit Fridays, the kitchen tips, all of it. And then, for a stretch, I went quiet. So let me tell you where I actually went, because it was not nowhere. I was writing the book I had been living my whole life.
Ten years, a hundred experiments
When I started the channel back in 2017, it was called the extraordinary life of an ordinary submissive girl. For about nine months I posted a video every single day, which back then was unheard of. You were with me daily for the time it takes to make a baby. Then came demonetization, so we built our own platform. We tried 2 Girls 1 Electric Car reviewing Tesla superchargers. We ran a live anti-AI radio station, all day every day, for months. We spun up niche channel after niche channel.
It was wonderful and it was a lot. And somewhere in the middle of all that motion, I realized something. It had been ten years, and the one thing I always meant to make, the book, I kept setting aside.
"I spent a year and a half writing this. But really, I feel like I spent my whole life writing it." — Marian
The two names
Here is the thing some of you already suspected. Piper Blush is not my real name. It is an artist name, like Lady Gaga or Lana Del Rey. My real name is Marianne Delacroix, and that is the name on the cover of the book.
If that makes you feel a little played, please do not. Piper is not a lie. Piper is the bubbly, hyperactive, feminine muse part of me, and she is completely real. She is just not all of me.
"Piper Blush is the tip of the iceberg. She's the ten percent that sticks out of the water." — Marian
Everything you have seen for a decade is that ten percent. The book is the rest of the iceberg, the part underwater.
The book I thought I was writing
I sat down certain I was writing a Piper Blush book. The fame, the virality, the stalkers, the behind-the-scenes. It was going to be perfect.
"It was the perfect book, until I started writing it." — Marian
Because the second I started, I understood that you have already seen Piper. You can Google her right now. The story worth telling was the one that was never online: the anxious, lost, tomboy girl in her early twenties, no money, no posture, who could not look people in the eye. How she met Master. How he sculpted her into the woman in front of you. So it stopped being a Piper story and became a me story. It is a memoir, not a BDSM manual, even if the title makes everyone assume otherwise.
Why a movement, not just a book
For years I tried to do this in person. I collaborated with women, tried to help some of them out of prostitution, stripping, sugar-babying, tried to help them find themselves the way Master helped me. And honestly, it mostly did not work the way I hoped.
A book is different. Someone can read it alone, without the pressure of me sitting across from them, and arrive at it in their own way. That reaches more people than I ever could one at a time. So the book became the seed of something bigger.
"Happy submissive is submitting consciously to a worthy master, to get where you want to be in life." — Marian
That is the whole movement. Not a spank on a Saturday. Not submission for an hour of sex. Conscious submission, chosen on purpose, toward a real life. Most people already submit to a hundred things, a boss, a habit, a fate, without ever asking whether any of it is taking them somewhere they actually want to go. I am asking everyone to do it with their eyes open.
That is what I disappeared to build. And now I am back to share all of it.
